RV Arrival & Setup Checklist

Use your RV and equipment manuals to determine the setup order. Leveling and slide procedures vary by vehicle; this list is a starting point, not a model-specific sequence.

Print this checklist

Site & Level

• Check site: clearance, hookup side, slope
• Position rig, chock wheels
• Follow the leveling procedure for your RV and installed leveling system
• Use stabilizers and leveling jacks only as specified for your installed system

Hookups

• Inspect power pedestal, test with surge protector
• Connect shore power
• Connect city water through pressure regulator
• Sewer hose connected; black valve closed until dumping

Camp Setup

• Slide-outs out (check clearance first)
• Complete the water heater’s model-specific filling and startup checks before switching it on
• Refrigerator to shore power mode
• Awning out if weather allows
